Our Story
Evers’ Country Gardens is a family-owned greenhouse and garden center in Lebanon, Ohio, built on a simple idea: grow quality plants and treat customers like neighbors.
What began in 1995 with a single 32′ x 48′ greenhouse has grown over the years into roughly 23,000 square feet of greenhouse space, along with an additional 28,000 square feet of outdoor growing area under drip irrigation. Even with that growth, our approach has stayed much the same. We believe in homegrown quality, practical advice, and plants raised with care.
We are proud to grow much of what we sell ourselves. From flowering annuals and hanging baskets to vegetable plants, herbs, combination planters, and seasonal favorites, we focus on offering strong, healthy plants that are well suited for local gardeners and home landscapes.
As growers, we take pride not only in producing quality plants, but also in sharing the knowledge that helps customers succeed. We are always glad to offer practical guidance on planting, watering, feeding, timing, and other cultural practices so home gardeners can grow with greater confidence and better results. Helping educate our customers is an important part of who we are and how we serve.
While our roots are traditional, our growing methods continue to evolve. Modern greenhouse production depends more and more on automation, and we have embraced technology that helps us grow better plants more efficiently and consistently. This includes automated irrigation systems, drip irrigation, and cloud-based irrigation controllers that allow us to closely manage watering across both our greenhouse and outdoor growing areas. These tools help us respond to changing conditions, improve consistency, conserve resources, and maintain high plant quality.
For us, technology is not about replacing the grower’s eye or experience. It is about supporting it. Good growing still depends on knowledge, observation, and attention to detail, but new and evolving systems give us better tools to care for plants well.
Evers’ Country Gardens has always been a family effort. Today, the second generation remains actively involved, while a third generation is increasingly taking the lead and shaping the future of the business. The greenhouse has changed a great deal since the early days, but the values behind it have not: hard work, attention to detail, and a genuine love of growing.
